Sydney dispute / litigation lawyer for commercial, insurance and business matters
Disputes, resolved on terms you can plan for.
We’re a Sydney disputes and litigation firm. You get a straight read on where you stand, a strategy that fits the matter, and a clear fee — agreed with you in writing before any work begins.
A fee structure that fits the matter.
No two matters — or clients — are the same. Some work suits a fixed fee, some a capped fee, and for our ongoing clients and evolving matters we act on agreed time-based rates. Whatever the structure, it’s discussed openly and agreed with you before we begin.
If the scope changes, we tell you first. The point is simple: however your matter is billed, the cost of resolving it shouldn’t be its own source of stress.
One number, agreed up front
For matters with a defined scope — a letter of demand, a contract review, a conveyance, a single appearance. You know the figure before we start, and it doesn’t move.
A ceiling you won’t pass
For matters that are harder to map — contested litigation, a dispute that may settle early or run long. We agree a cap, and you never pay above it without a fresh, written agreement.
For ongoing & evolving work
For the clients we act for regularly, and matters whose scope moves as they develop. Agreed rates, clear estimates, and you’re kept across costs as the work progresses.
What we do
Contractual disputes
Complex commercial agreement disputes for businesses, partnerships and individuals — breach of contract, unfulfilled obligations, supply-agreement breakdowns — enforcing your rights or defending against claims.
Home, property & construction
Disputed sale agreements, misrepresentation, faulty inspection or valuation reports, defective or incomplete building work, payment disputes, home-warranty and strata claims — including under the Home Building Act 1989 (NSW).
Insurance complaints & disputes
An insurance-focused background. AFCA and court disputes with insurers over coverage — home and property, motor, professional indemnity, design & construct, and management liability policies.
Property & business transactions
Conveyancing, leasing, and the sale and purchase of a business — contracts drafted, reviewed and executed to protect your interests, residential and commercial.
Professional negligence
Claims against builders and construction companies, solicitors, accountants, healthcare practitioners, engineers and other professionals.
Debt recovery
From investigation and first letter of demand through court application, hearing and enforcement — including recovery from hard-to-find individuals and businesses.
Consumer complaints
Consumer law protection under the Australian Consumer Law — misleading and deceptive conduct, and misrepresentation.
Property damage & motor vehicle accidents
Motor vehicle accident and credit-hire claims, home and strata damage, and property damage disputes with insurers.
How a matter runs.
A dispute feels formless when you’re inside it. Most of ours follow the same path — and the work is usually over well before the last step.
We hear what happened
You book an initial consultation. We learn the facts, read the documents that matter, and tell you honestly whether there’s something worth pursuing — or worth defending.
You see where you stand
We set out your position, the realistic outcomes, the likely cost, and a recommended path — in plain language, with the fee approach agreed before we go further.
We try to end it early
A letter of demand, a negotiation, a without-prejudice offer. This is where most matters resolve, without the cost and time of a hearing.
If it has to go further
We prepare the evidence and run the matter in the right court or tribunal — and keep telling you, candidly, what each step is likely to achieve.
We finish it
Settlement or judgment, the outcome is documented properly. Where money is owed, we move to enforce it rather than leave you with a paper win.
Small firm, by design.
